Biography of Arlene James

Arlene has been writing and publishing for nearly three decades, almost as long as she’s been married. She has lived in Texas nearly all that time, after having grown up on a small ranch in Oklahoma. Never one to let the grass grow under her feet, she sold her very first book to Silhouette Romance and agreed to marry her husband on their very first date. She first published inspirational romance in the 1980s with the now defunct Silhouette Inspirations. She has two grown sons and two beautiful granddaughters, all of whom are great fun.

Writing has been the best of all worlds for Arlene. As a young mother she was able to earn a living while staying at home with her children. Now her career allows her the freedom to follow her engineer husband around the world. She’s startled hotel maids from Israel to Holland and is always gratified to discover how much work she can get done in countries where she does not know the language. Have laptop, will travel!
