Biography of Kathryn Springer

Kathryn Springer grew up in northern Wisconsin, where her parents published a weekly newspaper in a small town. As a child, she spent many hours sitting at her mother’s typewriter, writing stories. She wrote her first “book” at the age of ten about a talking horse (which her mother still has!)

After a number of busy years, when she married her college sweetheart and became a stay-at-home mom, Kathryn rediscovered her love for writing. She used an unexpected snow day as inspiration for a short story, which she submitted to BRIO magazine for teen girls, and was thrilled when the editor called several days later and said they wanted to publish it. She continues to write for BRIO, but when her youngest child started school, she began to work on her first novel - an inspirational romance, of course!

She enjoys writing inspirational romance because it allows her to combine her faith in God with her love of a happy ending!

Kathryn lives in the country with her police officer husband, Pete; her wonderful children, two horses, a  Chesapeake Bay retriever with an attitude and a spoiled barn cat named Boo. When she’s not writing she enjoys reading, taking long walks and spending time with her friends.
